Good afternnon! 2 years ago, a neoplasm was found in the back of my dog's neck, which was removed by surgery. Since the operation was deep and over a wide area, fur does not grow there. The Pyrenees mountain dog was bred in the Pyrenees mountains, so it has a two-layer fur that protects it from cold air and moisture.
Before the operation, I used a chain collar, after the operation I put on a special wrap around the dog’s neck so that the chain does not touch the operated place. However, sometimes the chain touches the skin. I was looking for a soft and sturdy collar, so I decided that the leather one would be the best. If a leather or half-leather collar touches the neck, it will be an additional load on the dog, so I was looking for a collar with a round cross section, but there were few such models and the size did not fit.
