I bought this for my Dutch Shepherd puppy and Malinois. I wanted a leather training leash, which would not be very heavy for his collar and yet still reliable. The 1/2" wide lead is perfect, very soft, not wrinkled with smooth edges. I ordered a length of 5 foot because I wanted to use it in most cases as a folded 2.5-foot long leash for walking the dog next to me. Multifunctionalbuckles are really practical in use to make the leash longer, to re-fasten it around the waist, so he's under control when I need to release both hands.
